Anarchy Reigns

Platforms: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 | Release Date: January 8, 2013

What to play January

Released already in Japan last July, this will be the first time gamers in the West are able to get their hands on the “groundbreaking multiplayer brawlers.” With up to 16 players in multiplayer matches, PlatinumGames is hoping Anarchy Reigns “…delivers over-the-top close combat, set in a massively open and fantastical world in a bleak, mutant-filled future.” Did I also mention it will be releasing for only $30 and includes fan-favorite characters,Bayonetta and Jack Cayman from MadWorld?

DmC: Devil May Cry

Platforms: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC | Release Date: January 15, 2013

Devil May Cry Post

While the younger looking new design for Dante may have received an overwhelming negative reaction by fans, the presentation and gameplay looks to be at least on par with the rest of the series. With Ninja Theory at the helm, best known for the PlayStation 3 exclusive Heavenly Sword and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, DmC: Devil May Cry has become one of our most anticipated releases of 2013. Will the younger looking Dante appeal to the younger audience as Capcom wanted, I can’t say for sure, but if the humoruos and action packed gameplay stays fresh through the entire game, we are in for a treat, Emo Dante and all.

With developer Level 5 working with Studio Ghibli, Ni no Kuni has the potential to become one of the most emotional and touching role-playing games ever released. If you think you have never heard of Studio Ghibli, you have probably seen one of their movies without even knowing it.
