Techland’s 'Project Hell' formally announced as Hellraid

Techland, the developers behind Dead Island, have formally announced Hellraid for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Formerly known as “Project Hell”, Hellraid will feature a first person perspective (much like Dead Island) and combine it with hack & slash action. The single-player portion of the game will include a story-driven campaign, while the cooperative multiplayer allows up to four players to battle against creatures from the underworld – as well as each other. Hellraid looks to give games an immersive combat system with melee, ranged and magical weapons.

Much like the AI Director from the Left 4 Dead series, Hellraid will feature a Game Master system that will make each playthrough unique. Much like many action RPG titles, Hellraid will feature a complete crafting system, armor customization and deep character development.

Look for Hellraid later this year on PC, Xbox 360 and PC. Check back with SelectButton for updated coverage as more information on the game becomes available.
