The remakes of Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, will bring back the feature of letting players create their own Secret Bases, but with some added extras.
The Pokémon Co. International announced that players will be able build, customize and share their own personal secret areas. Players can create mazes and traps for visitors to tackle, and for the first time ever, players can become Gym Leaders by transforming their Secret Base into their own Pokémon Gym where players can set Pokémon battle rules.
You can share your bases with other Pokémon trainers using Nintendo 3DS StreetPass or via your personal QR code. While visiting another players base, you can invite the other Trainer back to your own Secret Base as Secret Pals. As you gain Secret Pals additional special skills become available. Secret Pals can interact, battle and support each other in various aspects such as making a Pokémon Egg hatch faster or raising the level of a player’s Pokémon by one.
Each Base will contain flags that visiting players can capture, located in the Secret PC. By collecting flags you will boost your rank, which will offer rewards such as improving the skills of Secret Pals.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will launch on Nintendo 3DS worldwide this November.
