Darksiders III leaked by Amazon

Considering that both Darksiders and Darksiders II has already received the remastered treatment on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation, it should come to no surprise that Darksiders III is in development. Earlier this morning, Amazon put up a product page for the game before it has been properly announced. With that said, all of the current details of the game are coming straight from the product listing for the game, but considering this may or may not have been THQ Nordic's big E3 reveal, it would be a good bet that we will get more information and even a teaser trailer relatively soon.

Darksiders III is being developed by Gunfire Games, while the original two games in the series were made by the now defunct Vigil Games. Gunfire Games was formed by many of the staff that worked on the series previously, so I have faith that the newest addition to the action adventure series will be on par with the originals.

We've already played as War and Death, two of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, but in Darksiders III players will take control of Fury. As a female mage and one of the last of the Nephilim, she wields a fiery whip as her weapon of choice. Based on the information, she will have various forms that grant access to new weapons and movement abilities. The game is being labeled as "open-ended" which makes me believe it will be an open world title allowing you to backtrack to previous areas once you acquire new powers. Think of it as a proper 3D Castlevania game. Set once again in a post-apocalyptic environment, you'll battle against the Seven Deadly Sins and their servants.

The game is currently being listed for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with a release date sometime in 2018. We will provide more updates once we hear back from THQ Nordic directly.
