QuakeCon 2012: Dishonored’s star-studded cast

Dishonored continues to be a game for fans to keep an eye out for. For those that have read one of our previews here on SelectButton or seen trailers of the game, they know that it’s going to be a force to be reckoned with. The game features a combination of multiple gameplay types, allowing players to pick and choose how they would like to progress through the missions. Bethesda and Arkane Studios, while pushing this game along, decided to add even more to the overall aesthetic by including a cast of voice actors worthy of some serious Hollywood recognition.

Topping the list is Susan Sarandon (Thelma and Louise, The Lovely Bones), followed by Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Ringstrilogy, Childs Play), Michael Madsen (Kill Bill series, Resevoir Dogs), Carrie Fisher (Star Wars original trilogy, Blues Brothers),Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), John Slattery (Mad Men), and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones, 300).

Academy Award winner and nominee Susan Sarandon is making her video game debut as the character Granny Rags, a aristocrat-turned-street-beggar who has been blinded and driven mad by her time on the dangerous streets of Dunwall. Another Academy Award nominee, Brad Dourif will be taking on the role of Piero the inventor who will be assisting Corvo in a variety of ways – either with his upgrades or new inventions altogether. Michael Madsen will be playing the role of Duad, another mysterious assassin within the walls of Dunwall who may or may not be helping helping Corvo.

Carrie Fisher, famed for her work in Star Wars, will be voicing the propaganda streaming from the speakers all over the city – Dunwall is a pretty depressing place, someone has to keep the people’s spirits up. John Slattery is filling the role of Admiral Havelock, a loyalist bent on helping Corvo throughout his quest. Chloë Grace Moretz and Lena Headey will be voicing the roles of Young Lady Emily and her servant Callista respectively, and they will play a central role to Corvo, who guarded Emily’s mother The Empress.

With a star-studded cast and a great combination of gameplay to boot, Bethesda and Arkane Studios’ Dishonored release in October is most certainly going to be be turning some heads.
