Promised BF1943 content missing in BF3?

PS3 owners get the shaft due to removal of promised content to Limited Edition

As previously announced at E3, PS3 copies of the Limited Edition version of Battlefield 3 were going to include Battlefield 1943 along with a code for the upcoming Back to Karkand expansion. With the release of Battlefield 3, there is no mention of BF1943 anywhere; instead DICE has gone on to tweet that instead of BF1943, PS3 owners will be getting a one week exclusivity to the BF3 expansions. This goes against the prior announcement that PS3 owners were to expect both, not one or the other.

Well it is already out on the system. I wonder if it’s still $15

All the more reason to avoid BF3…Who really cares if you get DLC a week earlier than Xbox – how does that make up for a missed game?

Agreed, getting DLC early does not make up for it. What makes everything worse, is they kept it secret until launch

Exactly – do not sweep the issue under the rug, put it out in the open and explain what you’re going to do to fix it.  Maybe if they said 1/2 DLC during the the week early promo would have been better…

The sad thing is it won’t. There’s a good chance BF1943 could potentially remain a 360 exclusive title based on whatever deals Microsoft worked out before BF3 came out. They’ll probably be telling us soon though

Yea, the lack of BF1943 really does suck actually. I played it previously on the 360 and it’s pretty fun, thus I was looking forward to the PS3 version.
