Fear the Wolves, a post-apocalyptic Battle Royale game from former S.T.A.L.K.E.R. devs

During the annual "Le What's Next de Focus" event, Focus Home Interactive and Vostok Games have announced an upcoming post-apocalyptic Battle Royale FPS, releasing in 2018.

In traditional fashion, players will be able to play solo, or with a squad, as they are dropped into the oppressive environments of radiation infested Chernobyl. The game won't launch with only a single game mode. Besides the 100 player matches where you fight until the last person/squad is alive, there will be a uniquely designed original game mode that brings a new twist to the genre.

Other players aren't the only thing you need to worry about either, as dynamically changing weather threatens your safety at all times. Fear the Wolves features a day-night cycle, and if you find the proper protective gear, you can freely explore zones that have been marked as off-limits. That is if you can survive long enough from the mutated creatures in the shadows.

Additional details will be unveiled later this week at the What's Next de Focus press event taking place in Paris. Fear the Wolves is set to release on PC and consoles in 2018, with the game launching first on Steam Early Access.
