Bethesda has announced that id Software's new Doom game will be available worldwide on May 13 (a Friday). The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. More and more games try to avoid the busy, and traditional Tuesday release day, aiming to be front and center in gamers minds by releasing on a Friday.

The collector's edition will sell for $120, and it comes with the game in a metal case, and an exclusive 12" tall statue of the iconic demon: the Revenant. The awesome looking figure was made in conjunction with TriForce. It was modeled using in-game 3D files and includes an LED-lit base complete with an internal slow-spinning turbine.

Bethesda also announced today players who pre-order the collector's edition or the standard edition of Doom will receive the "Demon Multiplayer Pack." It comes with a demon armor set, which features three skin variations, six paint colors, and three id Software logo patterns. It also includes six "Hack Modules," which are consumable items that can be used to give you an edge during multiplayer.
