Angry Birds Transformers Announced

With little information, Rovio Entertainment, creators of the popular Angry Birds franchise, have announced their next game in the birds vs pigs series. Angry Birds Transformers, as the title suggests, has iconic Transformers characters, such as Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, portrayed as feathered and porky characters.

This new collaboration between Rovio and Hasbro will result in a mobile title as well as merchandise and Telepods products based around the nicknamed Autobirds and the Deceptihogs.

The game was announced today on the main Angry Birds website. As far as a release date goes, all that is know is that the game is “coming soon to app stores.”

While the game may be coming first to mobile, it would not be strange to see the game hit consoles and PC at a later date. The last game in the Angry Birds series to feature a licensing agreement with another franchise, Angry Birds: Star Wars, saw a release on all major platforms last year.
